Behavior Management Policy


The below Behavior Management Policy is a new standard in which MWMFA

(Millwoods Minor Football Association) will be enforcing with the assistance of the CDMFA (Capital District Minor Football Association) MWMFA will be releasing up-dated player, coach, and parent handbooks ahead of our regular flag and tackle 2020 seasons.

 

BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT POLICY

Any abuse of an Official is unacceptable. The Head Coach will be ultimately responsible for the staff, players, parents, and spectators who can, and will be ejected from the game as a result of objectionable conduct. MWMFA does not condone objectionable conduct, and has aligned with the CDMFA to ensure RESPECT is maintained on and off the field.

 

On-field (Teams/Coaches/Staff)

 

  • The Head Coach is responsible for maintaining a respectful atmosphere.
  • Officials will call the games as they do now, no changes at this time.
  • Anyone who receives an abuse of an official and/or an objectionable conduct penalty will be ejected from the game. No exceptions.
  • The Head Coach will then be issued a warning to control the team, and they may also be ejected if there are additional incidents.
  • Any further abuse of an official and/or an objectionable conduct penalty will result in an additional one game suspension by the CDMFA and a $500.00 fine for MWMFA.
  • Any coach that receives a second abuse of an official and/or an objectionable conduct penalty in the same season, shall be suspended from the CDMFA for one calendar year.

 

Off-Field (Parents/Fans/Spectators)

 

  • The Head Coach is responsible for maintaining a respectful atmosphere.
  • Officials will call the games as they do now, no changes at this time.
  • If any spectator becomes abusive to the officials, the Head Coach is issued a warning to control the fans and understands that they will also be ejected if there are further incidents.
  • The Head Coach will be given up to 5 minutes to communicate with the organization or fans.
  • Any additional abusive behavior will result in an abuse of an official and/or an objectionable conduct penalty issued to the Head Coach along with an ejection from the game.
  • Any additional behavior after that will result in the officials leaving the field and the game being suspended
  • All ejections are subject to the current additional one game suspension by the CDMFA.
  • Organization will be fined $500.00, and the fine will increase to $1000.00 if the game is suspended.
  • Any Coached that receives a second abuse of an official and/or an objectionable conduct penalty in the same season, shall be suspended from the CDMFA for one calendar year.

 

Any post game abuse of officials will result in the Head Coach being suspended for two games and the organization fined $1000.00. Any offending Assistant Coach or Player will face the original additional one game suspension.
